In June 2015 Theater Emory invited Callosum Collective to develop a new performance concept as part of the Breaking Ground Workshop Series.

We spent five days interpreting The Tempest, one of Shakespeare's strangest and most beautiful works, and we invited the public to experience the results of this weeklong workshop process in a presentation of our work-in-progress The Squall.

This video document of our Breaking Ground presentation represents a sort of living sketchbook, giving viewers a glimpse into Callousm's collaborative working methods and performance concepts for a production we hope to expand and further embellish in the future.
